With a passion for the pristine beauty of the Hawaiian islands, many of Kawikaʻs photos begin well before the light of morning. He treks up mountains and ridges, often in complete darkness, in order to experience the sunrise from a truly exotic vantage point. It’s this passion and commitment that makes his imagery so unique.

As a full-time filmmaker and photographer, Kawika considers himself extremely blessed top have a career doing something he loves. He found his passion for photography and video in high school, later pursuing a degree in creative media.
